Halloween Picture Bingo
Difficulty Rating -
The history of the game of Bingo can be traced back to 1530, to an Italian lottery called "Lo Giuoco del Lotto D'Italia," From Italy the game was introduced to France in the late 1770s, where it was called "Le Lotto". The Germans also played a version of the game in the 1800s; they used it as a child's game to help students learn math, spelling and history.
The mane Bingo comes from a misunderstanding. In the U.S., bingo was originally called "beano" because players would mark their cards with beans. It was renamed it "bingo" after someone accidentally yell "bingo" instead of "beano" when they won.
Bingo is a great game to play because it is exciting and of course no skill is needed, it’s a game of luck.

Tiddlywinks or buttons
If you can, print the pages out on to thin card or glue onto some thin card. Then you need to cut out each Calling Card and each Bingo Card. The printing is in black and white, you could colour the pictures at this stage if you wished.
You could either laminate or cover the card pieces in plastic. This will allow you to use these bingo cards for many, many games.
To Play Halloween Bingo
One person has to be the bingo caller; the others each have a bingo card and 12 tiddlywinks or buttons each.
The bingo caller is in charge of the bingo calling cards. They should be placed upside down on the table and mixed up or shuffled. The caller then picks a card at random and reads out what the picture is, and shows the card to the other players. The card is then place back on the table face up.
If this picture is on a player’s bingo card, they should cover the picture on their card with a tiddlywink or button.
The first player to cover all their pictures on the bingo card is the winner and should call out 'BINGO!' The winner should win a prize - maybe some juicy slugs, or a jar of bats eyeballs perhaps?
The game can be made more fun for younger children with spooky sound effects. Howl when you call out the wolf, wail for the ghost, cackle for the witch and so on.
